What is a postpartum doula?

As a postpartum doula, I am committed to nourishing and nurturing the mom during the 4th trimester. I provide the family with non-judgmental support, meeting you where you are, curating a loving environment for parents to bond with their newborn. This helps ease the baby’s transition into the world.

I provide the family with evidenced based information on feeding and baby care, while supporting the emotional and physical recovery from childbirth.


Someone at your side to help you:

  • Recover from a big life event of bringing life into the world

  • Breastfeed/Chestfeed/Bottlefeed

  • Learn baby hunger cues

  • With older children to give you time to bond with the new baby

  • Keep the place tidy (light housekeeping assistance)

  • Prepare nourishing meals

  • Running Errands

  • Find resources when you run into issues

  • Grow confident in your parenting skills in a non-judgmental way

  • Identify early signs of postpartum mood disorders

  • Discover and learn about infant sleep

  • Care for baby when you want to shower, nap, or spend some special time with older child(ren)

  • Learn about baby carriers and the benefits of babywearing

  • and SO MUCH MORE, always customized to your needs.

Traditional Moroccan and/or Haitian service $150

Breastfeeding Latch Assessment $100 (normally $200)


Rates

$35/hr for day
$45/hr for overnight
